Privacy policy for JinSEQ – Just in Sequence

Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Revision: JINSEQ-PRIVACY-20261015-R2

This privacy policy applies to JinSEQ – Just in Sequence by KAN KAI WORKS on Android, package de.kankaiworks.jinseq. The public English version is available at https://kankaiworks.de/en/jinseq/datenschutz/ and the German version at https://kankaiworks.de/jinseq/datenschutz/ . No other apps are included. The separate Web preview and website are outside this Android profile.

1. Controller and contact

Steffen Übelein Sole trader operating as KAN KAI WORKS Nürnberger Straße 14 96114 Hirschaid Germany Privacy contact: support@kankaiworks.de No separate data protection officer has been appointed.

2. App principles and functions

The game does not require a proprietary JinSEQ online account. Your chosen profile name and animal avatar are used locally. Google Play's account requirements apply to purchases and restoration.

The game logic does not upload your moves, local saves, names, avatars or scores to a proprietary game server. There is no proprietary online leaderboard, cloud synchronisation or analytics platform.

The Android app uses Google Play for a one-time full-game purchase, purchase verification and restoration, and a voluntary review. The game contains no advertising. Download is free; all 20 exercises and regular levels 1–5 are free, while further content requires access to the full game. Separate reviewer access grants access only and does not represent a purchase.

3. Local data on your device

Local data include your save, played and completed levels, scores, progress, chosen profile name and animal avatar, and audio, haptic, language and background preferences. They support continuation and personal display. Your profile name is not a Google account identifier read by the game.

These data are stored in the local application area, including echofall_state.json and its backup generations. Additional local data are a signed purchase receipt for offline access, a marker for the once-only review request, and the active or ended state of reviewer access if used. A reviewer code is checked locally; the entered code is not saved in that state record or sent to a proprietary server.

Local gameplay does not upload those saves or profiles. Google Play functions described in sections 5 and 6 communicate separately with Google. Local storage therefore does not mean that the entire app operates without network communication.

Regular Android cloud backup is disabled for this app. This does not exclude manufacturer-specific direct device transfer on every configuration. Manage copies held outside the app with the relevant provider. Android's app settings allow deletion of app data; clearing a cache or replaying a level does not reliably erase all stored data.

4. Advertising and privacy choices

JinSEQ contains no advertising or advertising SDKs. No ad formats, mediation or advertising networks are activated, and JinSEQ does not create proprietary advertising profiles. Google's separate Play processing is described below.

There is no advertising-consent manager because the app contains no advertising. Voluntary reviews and support contacts are not prerequisites for playing. The full-game purchase unlocks content; it does not remove the Google Play functions used for purchase checks, restoration or a voluntary review. There are no app advertising-provider privacy links.

5. Purchases and restoration

The full game is offered as a one-time, non-consumable Google Play in-app purchase, without a subscription. The applicable local price is shown in the purchase dialog. Google Play handles ordering and payment.

On startup, resume and restoration, the app queries available product and purchase states from Google Play. The app receives information such as the product identifier, purchase state, purchase reference, time and signed receipt. Google also processes account, transaction, device and connection information for its store, payment and security services under its own notices. JinSEQ does not receive full card or bank login details. Google Play may provide KAN KAI WORKS with business transaction and settlement information, separately from local saves.

JinSEQ verifies signed receipts locally and acknowledges completed purchases to Google Play. A verified receipt containing a purchase reference is retained locally so already unlocked content can be used offline. There is no proprietary purchase-validation or account server. New purchases and fresh store queries require a Google Play connection. Changes such as refunds can be reflected on the next successful query. After local app data are deleted, a valid purchase can be restored through Google Play using the associated purchasing account.

The Billing library and its transport component also process technical diagnostics about operations and results, errors and timing, app and library versions, and session and operation identifiers. The transport component adds device and connection characteristics, including Android version, device model and manufacturer, language, time zone and network type, and sends diagnostic events to Google. These activities can also occur on startup, resume and existing-purchase queries without a new purchase. This does not establish GPS collection; the app requests no location permission.

6. Voluntary reviews

Reviews are optional. The app uses Google's official Play In-App Review flow, without a preliminary satisfaction question, reward or content unlock for reviewing.

Only after a verified full-game purchase, the first actual level win prepares one request after the level animation, at a quiet point while the same result remains open. A durable local marker prevents automatic repetition after an error, restart or update. Leaving the result does not cause a delayed automatic dialog later. Google controls whether a dialog is shown; an API completion does not establish that a review was submitted.

A verified purchase also makes a voluntary review link available in the main menu. It opens the Google Play store listing and does not require a review. Reviewer-code access alone enables neither that link nor an automatic review request.

If you review in Google's dialog, Google processes your stars and optional free-text review for the Play Store. Google encrypts the transmission. Public reviews can be visible in the store; feedback in a closed test can be made available privately to the developer. The app receives no information through the Review API about whether you reviewed or what you entered. You can manage and delete your review through your Play Store or Google Account. Details: https://developer.android.com/guide/playcore/in-app-review#data-safety .

7. Other data flows, accounts and external content

There are no proprietary online accounts or server-side account-deletion process. Local reviewer access can be ended explicitly in the game, without changing a Google Play purchase or deleting saves. Manage Google account settings with Google.

No proprietary analytics, crash or push services are integrated. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts or location permissions and does not read GPS positions. Android vibration and audio settings support haptics and system media volume. Network and Billing permissions support Google Play. Separate store and operating-system services may process technical operational and security information under their own rules.

Game content, fonts and music are supplied with the Android app; changing language requires no font download. The separately offered Web preview, its server access logs and browser storage are outside this Android scope.

Deliberately selected legal, contact, privacy or More Games links may open external pages in the browser. Those pages process connection information separately from local gameplay. Website, contact-form and hosting processing is additionally described at https://kankaiworks.de/datenschutz/ . Support email is described in section 10.

8. Purposes, legal bases and provision of data

Where the GDPR applies, local saves, preferences, purchase verification and access rely on Article 6(1)(b) insofar as necessary for the requested game and contractual functions. The local protection against repeated review requests and proportionate feedback opportunity rely on Article 6(1)(f), in our legitimate interest in voluntary product feedback without repeated prompts. Contract-related support relies on Article 6(1)(b); other enquiries rely on Article 6(1)(f), in the interest of responding appropriately. Legally required business records rely on Article 6(1)(c). Necessary processing for specific legal claims may rely on Article 6(1)(f), subject to balancing the relevant interests. Where consent is required for an actual processing activity, Article 6(1)(a) applies. Google is responsible for the legal bases of its independent services under its own information.

A proprietary account, review or support contact is not required to play. Your profile name is self-chosen; please avoid sensitive information. Without purchase processing and verification, new full-game access cannot be granted. Without voluntarily provided contact information, we may be unable to answer a support request.

Local input comes from your interaction; purchase states and receipts come from Google Play. You may voluntarily provide further information in support. There is no general acquisition of your player data from data brokers. The app makes no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Receipt verification controls contractual content access.

Mandatory requirements and additional rights under the privacy law applicable where you live remain unaffected. Google Play account and purchase services follow their respective regional terms.

9. Recipients, security and international transfers

KAN KAI WORKS is responsible for its own processing described here. goneo processes support email as our email service provider. Google operates its Play, account, payment and review services under its own terms and privacy notices. For users in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google services are generally the responsibility of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, unless the specific service notice states otherwise. Payments may additionally involve the Google entities and payment providers identified in the purchase dialog and applicable payment terms; they are not generally designated as processors of KAN KAI WORKS. Further recipients may be involved in a deliberately opened website, legal obligations or specific legal claims. Local game profiles are not sent to a proprietary game server.

App data are held in Android's local application area. Purchase receipts undergo signature verification; entered reviewer codes are masked and compared locally. Encryption of every local save is not promised. Google describes encryption for review transmission. Its provider information applies to security measures for other store, payment and account services; complete knowledge or control of those services is not asserted.

Google and deliberately opened external services may process data outside Germany and the European Economic Area. Google describes relevant adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses and other transfer arrangements at https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks . Processing of those services exclusively in Germany is not promised. You may request information about our own recipients and any safeguards used through the privacy contact above.

The app's own functions described here do not include selling local player data or sharing it for proprietary behavioural advertising. The expressly described Google Play activities and voluntary external navigation are separate.

10. Retention and deletion

When you contact us at support@kankaiworks.de, we process your sender address, your message and the information you provide to handle your request. We use goneo Internet GmbH (goneo) as our email service provider. We have adopted a policy to delete ordinary resolved support requests, including their attachments, no later than 6 calendar months after the case has been closed, and earlier if the data is no longer necessary. The case closure must be documented. An active-mail workflow with documented case closure and deadline checks is configured. Historical on-time deletions or unattended server deletion have not been evidenced. The controller has confirmed an effective processor agreement for the goneo account and contracted services; the signed document has not been independently inspected. The maximum residual retention in provider backups after mailbox deletion has not been confirmed; recovery windows do not establish that maximum. Only where specific records are subject to statutory retention requirements or are necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of specific legal claims do we retain the necessary data for the relevant purpose and period. This exception does not extend the retention of all support requests as a whole.

Email provider address: goneo Internet GmbH, Dresdener Straße 18, 32423 Minden, Germany.

Local saves and preferences remain until removed using Android's app settings or uninstallation. A purchase receipt is additionally removed when a successful authoritative Google Play inventory query confirms no valid entitlement and no ongoing purchase or pending acknowledgement needs protection. A connection or query error alone does not delete the receipt. The once-only review marker survives updates and restarts until local app data are removed. Reviewer state remains until access is explicitly ended or app data are cleared. Necessary business and settlement records are retained according to statutory obligations applicable to the particular record.

Use Android's app settings to remove locally held app data. Retrying a level does not erase the overall save. Ending reviewer access removes its active permission without deleting progress. Removing local data does not cancel a Google Play purchase or delete information held by Google or other external services. There is no proprietary JinSEQ server holding another save copy. Address erasure and access requests for data held by KAN KAI WORKS to support@kankaiworks.de.

Google purchases, payment data, account data and reviews are managed under the retention rules of the respective Google service. Deletion within JinSEQ does not remove those data. Google retention and deletion information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/retention . Manage purchases, refunds and review deletion through Google Play or your Google Account.

11. Your rights

Subject to applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent for the future without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Address privacy requests to support@kankaiworks.de. Google account settings and privacy tools are at https://myaccount.google.com/ . We assess requests against data actually held by us; we have no remote access to saves stored solely on your device. Mandatory additional privacy rights under applicable regional law remain unaffected.

12. Right to complain

You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA) is particularly relevant to our location. Complaint information: https://www.lda.bayern.de/de/beschwerde.html .

13. Changes and versions

This policy is updated when data processing, third-party providers or relevant requirements change. The published policy at https://kankaiworks.de/en/jinseq/datenschutz/ and the policy supplied in the app are compared using revision dates and content.

Revision JINSEQ-PRIVACY-20261015-R2 describes the Android app with a one-time full-game unlock, voluntary Play review flow and separate local reviewer access. The German version is at https://kankaiworks.de/jinseq/datenschutz/ . The app's offline language versions will carry the same content revision.
